KARLA LARIVE

Producer | Manager Rep | Public Relations

She is Producer | Manager Rep for PK Productions, LLC, an indigenous music management and media company that was founded in the Black Hills of South Dakota, September 2006.

Ms. LaRive brings her entertainment management background in Broadway Theatre, Special Events and Concert Promotion to PK Productions.

 She has been Creative Director for Studio West Management since 2004. Studio West Management offers production support, locations scout services, photography, casting and talent representation for feature film, television, documentary and music projects.

Studio West Management is responsible for bringing the following film and video projects to western South Dakota:

"Into the Wild" Paramount/Vantage Films (Sean Pean Director/Screenwriter), "Investigating History | Who Killed Crazy Horse", "Cowboys | Wild Mustangs", "Comanche Warrior", NHK Japan Public Broadcasting, Nat'l Geo "Before 1492" and many more.

As Media Relations Director for the Black Hill Wild Horse Sanctuary, LaRive staged the Ford Motor Company website launch at the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary for "Save the Mustangs" a campaign in conjunction with Take Pride America, Bureau of Land Management, Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary & Founder, Dayton O. Hyde and Actress/Animal Advocate, Stephanie Powers.

In 2006 the company launched its first music project with Native American Hip Hop, Rap Artist, Shadowyze by producing his 2006 CD release, " Boom Boom | Bumpy Roads | Lil Mama - Club Remix".

"Bumpy Roads" became Shadowyze's first music video from the CD and was filmed in association with Christopher Crosby, musicseenPROductions

“Bumpy Roads” was nominated for “Best Short Form Music Video" at the 9th Annual Native American Music Awards in 2007.

In 2007 she co-produced her second music video with musicseenPROductions for Michael Bucher "Dirty Water, a tribute to Bear Butte Mountain, South Dakota" "Dirty Water" was nominated for "Best Short Form Music Video" at the 10th Annual Native American Music Awards in New York.

She has produced in association with musicseenPROductions; Michael Bucher's "Don't Forget About Me" and "Sacred Ground, Live at the Gathering." Buchers' music videos deal with the protection of Native burial grounds, Native grave sites and sacred sites. Music videos were all shot in part and on locationat the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary, Badlands National Park and Wounded Knee Memorial, Pine Ridge Reservation, South Dakota, Albuquerque and Taos, New Mexico.

Ms. LaRive shares producing credits with Award winning traditonal drum performance group, Wind Spirit Drum on their 2010 Cd recording, Ancient Winds and for the group's 2010 NAMA winning "best single/song" and new music video for bonus track, "Grandfather" (Ancient Winds).

She is Producer for two documentary title releases; "Free To Run, an Afternoon At The Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary" and "Imagine A Place, the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary" were produced in association with the Institute of Range and American Mustang (IRAM) and musicseenPROductions. DVD releases 2010.

Ms. LaRive is a Member of the Washington, DC Chapter of the National Academy for Recording Arts and Science (Grammys) and an Advisory Member for the Native American Music Awards (Nammys).

 


 


CHRISTOPHER CROSBY

Producer | Director | Editor

His company, musicseenPROductions was founded in 2000 with the concept of building leverage for the artists by producing music videos and promotional materials.

With an education in music business management from the Art Institute of Atlanta, and music theory from the Guitar Institute of Technology; Crosby began his career working as a freelance camera operator, audio technician and editor for Artisan PictureWorks. After shooting the opening highlights for the House of Blues during the 1996 Summer Olympic Games, Chris interviewed several witnesses for Univision after the Olympic bombings. While employed with Artisan PictureWorks, he also assisted many production companies including; CBS, NBC, ESPN, CNN, VH1 and MTV. Crosby was Content Producer / Editor for HorseTV.Com in Dallas, Texas.

As producer and media development director for 2High Studios, he developed and built with his partners, a (40) room rehearsal facility in Atlanta and specialized in producing local music videos and web design.

musicseenPROductions joined ventures with PK Productions, LLC (South Dakota) in 2006 and produced his first, Native Hip Hop Artist, Shadowyzes music video, "Bumpy Roads." "Bumpy Roads" was nominated for "Best Short Form Music Video" at the 2007 Native American Music Awards, Seminole Hard Rock Casino, Florida.

Crosby has been nominated twice more at the Native American Music Awards for "Best Short Form Video" with Award winning Singer/Songwriter, Michael Bucher' "Dirty Water, a tribute to Bear Butte Mountain" (2008) and "Don't Forget About Me" feat. Joanne Shenandoah (2009). He has recently completed a new music video with award winning traditional drum performance group, Wind Spirit Drum "Grandfather" and he shares producing credit with Wind Spirit Drum, IRAM, Susan Watt and Karla LaRive on the new cd release, Ancient Winds (2010). The song "Grandfather" was nominated for a "Best Single/Song of the Year" at the 2010 Native American Music Awards, November 2010.

As director, his two documentary titles, "Free To Run, An Afternoon At The Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary" and "Imagine A Place, the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary" were produced in association with the Institute of Range and American Mustang (IRAM) and PK Productions, LLC, South Dakota. DVD release 2010.

A new documentary film from PK Productions LLC and the Institute of Range and American Mustang, "WE ARE THE LAND" by director and editor, Christopher Crosby, will have a debut premiere at the "Black Hills - Protect Our Waters" Earth Day film festival on Wednesday, April 20th 2011 at the Elks Theatre in Rapid City, South Dakota.
